What You Can Do

The concert season for 2025 has begun at the Forest Hills Stadium. This year will be the first time that streets in Forest Hills Gardens will be closed off by the stadium’s private security, even though the Forest Hills Gardens Corporation has not agreed to the street closures. At a meeting of the 112th precinct council, Captain Daniel Fennessey, the new commanding officer, said that the NYPD would be stationed outside of the gardens but would respond to any problems inside or outside of the Gardens as needed.

What should you do if you have a problem?

9-1-1 Complaints

For matters requiring an urgent response or police presence for activity in progress (i.e. blocked private driveways, fights, loud disorderly conduct, trespassing on private property, danger to personal property, illegal drug use/sales, any illegal activity, etc.), please call 911.  The dispatcher will direct your call accordingly.

3-1-1 Complaints

How to file a complaint with 311 for any of the following issues:

  • Noise complaints - Please call 311 or click here to submit a complaint online. For ease of tracking complaints, It would be helpful for  and please select 1 Tennis Place as the location during a show (if the noise is after a show and it is disorderly conduct please see ‘911’ above)

  • Trash complaints - Please call 311 or click here to submit a complaint online if there is trash left by concert goers on your private property. Scroll down and select "Waste on or in Front of Someone Else's Property" the menu, and then select "Report commercial waste repeatedly left on or in front of another property."

  • Idling Ubers & Lyfts complaints - Please call 311 or click here to submit a complaint online if  there are taxis idling for more than 3 minutes, double-parked, or parked in “No Standing/No Parking” zones nearby your residence.

  • Illegal Parking complaints - Please call 311 or click here to submit a complaint online if you notice an influx of cars & motorcycles with an obscured license plate or one that is missing. Select "Report a vehicle with an obscured license plate."

Please remember to forward us a copy of the confirmation notice you receive from 311 so we can track complaints. Our email is concernedcitizensofforesthills@gmail.com

We can’t emphasize enough how important it is for you to complain to 311 if you have a problem. This is the city’s main mechanism for documenting problems, and city officials look at it as a barometer of how things are going.

Some lobbyists hired by the stadium have been publicizing an alternate method of reporting complaints to the stadium rather than to the city, but please understand this is no substitute for contacting 911 or 311.

New For This Year

There is one more important thing you should do if you experience problems with noise or any other disturbances related to the concert: you should also file a complaint with the NY State Liquor Authority by emailing them at zone1.complaints@sla.ny.gov with "Forest Hills Stadium" in the subject line.

Under New York State law, the Liquor Authority can revoke a venue’s liquor license if it’s responsible for a repeated pattern of disturbances which includes: drunken behavior, loud noise during shows, noise and loud disturbances after shows have ended, trash left on private property by stadium goers, open containers on streets and sidewalks, illegal drug use, illegal sale of drugs, drug/alcohol use by minors, traffic jams, and other disruptions caused by the events.

Concerned Citizens of Forest Hills is currently working with the Forest Hills Neighborhood Coalition (FHNC), which consists of local grassroots activists and groups concerned about the stadium.  The FHNC has produced this flyer that you can print, save on your computer, and share. It contains a lot of the information we’ve just explained, but it has other information too, including how you can download your own noise-meter onto your phone and take in-home readings.

The neighborhood coalition is encouraging residents to document problems by recording them on your cell phone and then emailing the photos or video to ForestHillsCoalition@gmail.com and please cc: us at ConcernedCitizensofForestHills@gmail.com.
