In the 1990s, daylong festivals sponsored by liquor companies brought raucous crowds and charges of racism by a promoter who said neighbors had “a problem with black people coming into the neighborhood.” The music events ended after a flurry of noise code citations from the city.

Forest Hills Tennis Stadium May Have A Sports & Entertainment Future
At the legendary Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, the ball may be back in court. A non-profit known as the Stadium Arts Alliance is one of the contenders that submitted a proposal, in response to the West Side Tennis Club’s Request For Proposals which ended on November 4th.
